Details about the workshop:
This workshop includes breath work, delving deeper into the mechanics of your breath and how it integrates with your heart and your lungs. You’ll take away a better understanding of the physiological and psychological aspects of breathing and how to use that knowledge to contribute to better overall health. You’ll learn how to control your breath to enhance the exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the blood to nourish your cells, organs and brain. Last but not least, you’ll learn how breathing is connected to your emotions and how mindful breathing can enhance your emotional states and be used to manage stress and depression.
Yin Sequences for Heart and Lungs
We will move through yin yoga sequences designed to target the heart and lung meridians to enhance the flow of energy to these organs. We’ll hold poses to strengthen the connective tissues that support the shoulder joint and stimulate the lymphatic system around the chest cavity.
We’ll conclude this workshop with deeply restful restorative poses.
